The exhibition “Inspired by Italy” in the first-floor rooms continues to the 17th of March and is well worth seeing. The next exhibition in the Autumn will be “The Botanical World of Mary Delany”. From 10 September explore the artwork of eighteenth-century artist Mary Delaney in a photographic display in collaboration with the British Museum.
In the Gardens and grounds, new benches have been installed paid for from a bequest from a YANT member.

The Gardens are open on Saturday and Sundays between 11am and 4pm from 2nd March with last entry at 3.30pm. From June 6th the Gardens will also be open on Thursdays and Friday.

The current Exhibition, until Sunday 24th March, is ‘Field, Folds and Farming Life’ which explores what it’s like to live, grow up and work on a rural farm in the heart of Bransdale through the seasons. The work of Yorkshire photographer Valerie Mather and specially produced films reveal the hard work and determination of the people at the heart of the farming community as they continue to navigate the ever-changing agricultural world to achieve a better farming future for people, the environment, and the local wildlife.
From 30 March to 12 May there is a wide-ranging exhibition: “From the Earth” of East Riding Artists, painters and potters celebrate everything our natural world has to offer. From the power of the North Sea and the breath-taking beauty of the region’s countryside and coastline to the food we grow and the flowers we cultivate, there is much to celebrate in our ever-changing world.

The house reopens on April 1st and from April to October inclusive visits are by guided tour from 11am with the last tour at 3pm. It is advisable to pre-book on the website. Closed on Thursdays and Fridays.
